Italy, sun, sea and Venice: the most famous impressionist painter Claude Monet painted this magnificent, loving oil painting in 1908 during his last trip to Italy. Today it is one of the greatest works of this artist due to its depth of color and warmth. In the twilight, Monet painted an abstract carpet of color, the red sea and the blue sky are in harmonic tension. I was able to simplify this beautiful work with only 35 different colors to a size of 250 x 200 stitches to a cross stitch pattern. So that the work involved in embroidering is acceptable. The atmosphere of this wonderful picture is still fully preserved. Of course I didn’t use any simplifications, smoothing or filters to simplify the image. This increases the degree of difficulty when embroidering, but the beauty of the result is the top priority here.
